Account Resolution Information

The first step to resolving debt is making a payment toward outstanding balances. Once you are on a payment plan, The Law Office of James R. Vaughan, P.C. offers payment options that include money order and by mail. For more information about settlements and our payment options, please visit our Payments Page.

If you have been sued or had a wage garnishment filed against you, please contact us to discuss options for going forward. We desire to work with consumers to reach agreed payment resolutions. Our firm is amicable to creating written payment or settlement agreements instead of pursuing judgment or garnishments. Communication is critical to preventing or stopping legal action against you. Our team is skilled in helping consumers navigate these challenges and developing alternative resolutions.

We encourage consumers to keep in mind that contractual payment agreements/promissory notes and stipulated judgments/consent judgments offer consumers more leniency due to cooperation in payment, whereas judgments may lead to wage garnishments, home liens, and increased credit reporting. We always prefer to work with consumers to prevent legal action and we strongly believe this is in the best interest of consumers as well.

If you have any questions about this process or would like to discuss options, please call us toll-free at 866-833-9411 during our normal business hours of Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. If possible, please have your account details available to help make sure our call is as efficient and effective for you as possible.
